Omaha Beach. by pmd1138 Omaha Beach. by pmd1138
The Gathering Storm.

Omaha Beach is the code name for one of the five sectors of the Allied invasion of German-occupied France in the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944, during World War II.. 'D-Day'.

Edit. The over saturation of the first version was playing into the hands of people who need a punch in the face to help them notice an image. This place is so captivating that it requires only subtlety and reverence.

And a wild storm came from the sea, in order to clear a trashed land ...
The connection between the title and the picture is really interesting. Like it.

Thanks so much. I was worried the rain would spatter this shot as it was pretty stormy and I had to wipe every few seconds, so relieved when I got it up on gimp.
